From NYATI Safari Lodge, you have the opportunity to purchase a full-day excursion to the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, featuring the scenic Panoramic Route—one of South Africa’s most breathtaking drives.
Overview
The journey follows the 60-kilometre (35-mile) long Blyde River Canyon, the third-largest canyon in the world and the greenest of them all. Along the way, you’ll stop at some of the region’s most iconic viewpoints:
- The Three Rondavels – massive, round mountain peaks resembling traditional African huts
- God’s Window – offering sweeping views over the Lowveld that stretch as far as Mozambique on a clear day
- Either Lisbon Falls or Berlin Falls – spectacular waterfalls set in lush surroundings
A relaxing lunch stop in the charming village of Graskop is included, with time to browse local shops for handmade crafts and souvenirs.
Departure from the lodge is early in the morning, ensuring a full day of exploration and unforgettable views.
